Paul designed and built this facility on the Middle Fork of the Mokelumne River. This raceway system was patterned after aquaculture facilities built by the California Department of Fish & Game. The system used four cubic feet/sec. of fresh water flowing gravity feed into the facility. Because there were no pump or electrical costs to supply this water, the hatchery was very cost effective and economical to operate. The hatchery was capable of producing in excess of 100,000 trout annually.
